🚀 Just WOW! Another epic adventure sharing the magic of our National Parks with students and educators—this time at Saint Michael’s Catholic School in Canton, Ohio! 🏞️✨ Huge shoutout to teachers Tina, Rachel, and Mindy for making it all happen.
The students? Wide-eyed, leaning in, totally hooked—especially when we dove into the real-world challenge of light pollution. They weren’t just learning about it; they were ready to solve it! From mapping out the impact on wildlife and night skies to brainstorming solutions for their own community, these young minds were on a mission.
Their biggest focus? High school football stadiums. They explored how excess lighting affects local ecosystems and even worked on redesigning light fixtures to minimize glare and skyglow. And they didn’t stop there—they also took a deep dive into the massive stadiums lighting up Ohio, from Ohio Stadium (The Horseshoe), FirstEnergy Stadium (home of the Cleveland Browns), Paycor Stadium (Cincinnati Bengals), and Progressive Field (Cleveland Guardians).
