Dear Educators and Students,
We are thrilled to extend an invitation to classrooms across the country to join us in a celestial celebration of unparalleled magnitude! On April 8, 2024, we will witness one of nature’s grandest displays – a Total Solar Eclipse. 🌑 Location: While the eclipse will be visible in various stages across the country, Cuyahoga Valley National Park will be in the path of totality, experiencing a complete solar blackout. Although this event is monumental when witnessed in person, we recognize that not everyone can be on site. That's why we are excited to offer a live stream of the entire event straight from the heart of Cuyahoga Valley. 🌟 Activities: Throughout the day, we will showcase a range of educational and engaging activities, interactive Q&A sessions, and detailed commentary during the eclipse, to ensure everyone, no matter where you are, can feel the magic of this cosmic event. 🔭 Participation: Whether you’re in a school in Maine or a community center in California, we encourage you to tune in. It's a collaborative endeavor to foster curiosity, knowledge, and an appreciation for the wonders of our universe. Bill Nye says "Space brings out the best in us. It leads us to an endless frontier. It leads us to exploration. And it leads us to think about ourselves and where we fit into the bigger picture." So let's come together to marvel at the universe's wonders, remind ourselves of our place within it, and inspire the next generation of star-gazers and scientists. A special thanks to the National Park Foundation, Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park for their collaboration and support. |
