THANK A RANGER PROJECT!
Season 4 of the National Parks Adventure: Crossing America
At Expeditions in Education, we draw inspiration from John Muir’s words: “Keep close to Nature's heart… and break clear away, once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” It’s in this spirit that we proudly launch Season 4 of our exciting initiative: Crossing America!
This year, we celebrate a significant achievement—having reached over one million students and educators at 40 National Park sites and 30 schools across the country! Our mission is to bring the wonders of National Parks to students everywhere, allowing them to virtually explore these incredible landscapes, contribute to the parks' efforts to meet the UN Global Goals, and connect with peers from all over the nation. Each month, we’ll offer LIVE virtual events that showcase different National Parks, providing an up-close look at what makes each one unique. And if you can’t attend live, we’ve got you covered—recorded sessions will be available for streaming at your convenience. Our journey doesn’t stop at virtual events. We’ve already visited 30 schools and will be adding 8 more visits in the 2024-2025 school year, bringing the magic of the parks directly into classrooms. We’re deeply grateful to the National Park Foundation for their continued support and partnership in making this project a reality. Together, we’re helping students deepen their connection to nature, fostering understanding, and instilling a love for the incredible National Parks of the United States. So pack your bags and get ready to embark on this unforgettable journey with us as we continue to Cross America—exploring parks, visiting schools, and inspiring the next generation of nature stewards! |
