Crossing America – Season 5 Concludes
To the 93,000+ students across America who joined us for Season 5 of Crossing America… thank you. Truly.
You showed up with curiosity and a willingness to learn. You asked questions, you noticed details, and you stepped into places all across the country right from your classrooms. That never gets old for us.
We are so grateful for every park that said yes, every ranger who shared their time and knowledge, every volunteer who helped bring these moments to life, and every educator who made space for this in their day. We know how much that takes, and we don’t take it lightly.
This work has always been about connection—connecting students to real places, real people, and real stories. And this year, you helped make that happen in a big way.
If you want to revisit any of the parks or share them with others, you can find all of our Season 5 videos and content at crossingamerica.net.
We’re going to take a little time to reflect on this season and everything it meant. And we’re already starting to look ahead.
We hope to be back for Season 6. Until then, keep exploring, keep asking questions, and keep looking a little closer at the world around you.

As poet Mary Oliver once wrote, “Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.” That is exactly what Crossing America is all about—paying attention to the wonders of our National Parks, standing in awe of their beauty and stories, and sharing them with students everywhere. We are thrilled to launch Season 5 of Crossing America!
To date, this project has reached over one million students and educators through virtual and in-person experiences. We’ve filmed at 40 National Park sites, brought stories into more than 30 schools across the country, and shared interviews with approximately 78 incredible park rangers who dedicate their lives to stewardship and education.
For the 2025–2026 school year, with the support of the National Park Foundation, Crossing America will include:
So pack your bags—virtually and literally—and join us as we continue to Cross America. The journey is far from over, and the adventure is only growing.
